Benjamin Mendy, a former Manchester City player, did not waste any time in returning to the field after being exonerated of all rape allegations.

The French defender was spotted on a Manchester football pitch practising with some local players. According to the Sun, he showed up at the Pitts complex in Ardwick, Manchester, for a local football game with several strangers.

Benjamin Mendy sobbed as he was pronounced free on Friday, July 14, 2023, after a jury cleared him of attempting to rape a 29-year-old woman while she showered at his house in October 2018. He was also found not guilty two years later of raping a 24-year-old woman in his bedroom at his mansion in Prestbury, Cheshire.

There are rumors that he may return to Saudi Arabia to resume his football career, but nothing has been confirmed by people close to the player. Mendy last played professional football for Manchester City in August 2021.
