On Monday, 62 individuals were paraded by the Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun, who are believed to have been involved in a range of criminal operations around the state.

All eighteen of the state’s LGAs had suspects taken into custody, according to Adetunji Adeleye, commander of Amotekun in the state.

As Adeleye paraded the suspects past the corps headquarters in Akure, the capital of the state, he thanked Amotekun and other security agencies in the state for working together to make the operation a success.

According to the head of Amotekun, the suspects were apprehended thanks in large part to the agencies’ collaborative efforts and the information they shared with one another.

Among the many alleged crimes committed by the individuals in question include drug dealing, cultism, kidnapping, and armed robbery.

Adeleye praised the people of the state for their consistent backing and for giving Amotekun reliable information.

He went on to reassure the public that the agency will do all it took to keep the peace, especially during the holiday season when crime is at an all-time high.
