Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has responded to the departure of midfielder Mason Mount.
Mount officially transferred from Chelsea to Manchester United on Wednesday.
The England international joined Manchester United in a £55 million deal with a further £5 million in add-ons.
Boehly and co-controlling shareholders Behdad Eghbali and Jose E. Feliciano responded by thanking Mount for his time at Chelsea and hailing the 24-year-old as a polished professional.
Boehly said in a statement on Chelsea’s website:
“Mason is a consummate professional and a well-liked member of the club.” We want to thank him for his achievements both on and off the field throughout his stay at Chelsea.”
